Man held in connection with Croatian arms seizure release

A man who was being questioned by Gardaí in connection with a seizure of arms in Croatia has been released without charge. The man was detained in the Dundalk area on Thursday. He was held at Monaghan garda station under the Offences Against the State Act. The weapons, including anti-tank rockets, sub-machine guns and explosives, were seized early last week in the Adriatic port of Split. They are believed to have been destined for dissident Republican groups here.
