Police have confirmed that the body of a little girl found in a field in West Sussex yesterday was eight-year-old Sarah Payne, and she had been murdered. Her body was removed from the site at Pulborough in West Sussex late last night. The site remains sealed off and forensic scientists resumed their search of the area this morning. Sarah Payne went missing 17 days ago, after walking towards her grandparents' house from a corn field, ten miles from where her body was eventually found. A murder inquiry is now underway.
