The Department of Agriculture will tomorrow ask the High Court to rule in its favour in a case involving the Rathkeale boning operation of Larry Goodman's AIBP meat processors. The department is asking the court to award it £1.8 million for alleged irregularities in beef processing at the Limerick plant. A spokesman for Larry Goodman told RTÉ that the organisation would vigorously defend itself, claiming that the operations at Rathkeale were as good as, if not better, than industry norms.
