The British Foreign Office has confirmed that a Leeds United fan was killed in rioting in Istanbul tonight. The supporter died in clashes between rival fans. Five or six other Leeds fans were injured in the violence ahead of tomorrow's game between Leeds United and Galatasaray. Turkish television said one of them was seriously injured. It’s believed the fans were involved in some form of fighting or rioting in the city. Fans on either side are reported to have used an array of weapons.
