RUC detain suspects in Armagh murder hunt

The RUC are questioning a number of people in connection with the murders of two teenagers whose bodies were found on an isolated road at the weekend. The bodies of 19-year-old Andrew Robb and 18-year-old David McIlwaine, both from Portadown, were discovered near Tandragee on Saturday with multiple stab wounds.

The victims' bodies were dumped under cover of darkness and were left lying yards apart. The gruesome discovery was made by a local woman driving children to dancing class. The RUC later revealed that the victims were seen alive in Tandragee at around 1.30am Saturday morning, and may have been involved in a number of minor scuffles in the town.

The families of both victims denied they had any paramilitary links. Their funerals took place earlier this week.
