In the Catherine Nevin murder trial a new jury is due to be sworn in on Monday to hear the case. Following submissions in the Central Criminal Court, Miss Justice Mella Carroll today made a temporary order prohibiting any comment in the print media on Mrs Nevin's appearance or demeanour.
She also prohibited publication of any photographs of representations in the newspapers of Mrs Nevin. The order will remain in place until Monday when further submissions will be heard in the Central Criminal Court.
Forty-eight-year-old Catherine Nevin is charged with the murder of her husband, Tom Nevin, at Jack White's Inn, in County Wicklow in March 1996. She is also charged with soliciting three named men to murder him on different dates in 1989 and 1990.
