A 33-year-old man appeared in court today charged with the attempted murder of former Beatle George Harrison and his wife, Olivia. Michael Abram was bailed by magistrates in Oxford, to be detained at a medium secure psychiatric unit. Mr Harrison is recovering in hospital from stab wounds in the chest and a partially collapsed lung. He is said to be in a stable condition.
