Trial of UK doctor accused of murder adjourned

The trial of a British doctor accused of murdering 15 of his female patients has been delayed. The trial of Dr Harold Shipman, who worked as a GP in Hyde in Greater Manchester, had been due to start in Preston in Lancashire this morning, but the jury will not now be selected until next week. The trial has adjourned until tomorrow morning to allow the judge to consider preliminary legal arguments. Dr Harold Shipman, who worked as a GP in Greater Manchester, denies the charges. He also faces a charge of forging a will.
