Gunmen who seized over 30 hostages this morning after storming the Burmese embassy in the Thai capital Bangkok, say that they will begin to kill one hostage every half hour unless their demands are met by midnight. The student dissidents are now demanding a helicopter to take them to the border between the two countries. Earlier, they wanted the military government in Burma to free all political prisoners and begin a dialogue with the opposition. Among those still being held are a number of foreigners as well as several Thai and Burmese diplomats.
