Two more arrested in connection with Pat Finucane murder

Detectives investigating the murder of Belfast solicitor, Pat Finucane, ten years ago say they have arrested two more men. One is aged thirty-six and was detained yesterday in the Belfast area. The other is thirty and has been held since this morning. They are being questioned by members of the enquiry team headed by John Stevens of the Metropolitan Police.

A forty-six year-old-man who was arrested yesterday and questioned about the theft of firearms has since been released. One man has already been charged with the murder of Mr. Finucane, who was shot dead in front of his family in February 1989 by members of the outlawed Ulster Freedom Fighters. The court heard the accused claim that he was an RUC Special Branch informer at the time of the killing.
