The man who died in a cell at Trim Garda station in County Meath this morning has been named as Martin Hickey. He was 29 and from Robinstown in Navan, County Meath.
He was found unconscious when his cell was checked just before six o'clock this morning. He died shortly afterwards. He had been detained for an alleged public order offence. A Garda investigation is continuing.
