Alabama, USA
Forewarning - It’s illegal to be blindfolded while driving a vehicle. Keep your eyes open, just to be on the safe side.
Australia
In Melbourne, don’t drive with a goat or a dog attached or harnessed to a vehicle in a place that is public...because it’s illegal.
Brazil
If you’re heading to the city of Rio Claro and love watermelons, stock up beforehand. Selling them is illegal!
Barbados & Zimbabwe
Best avoid the subtle look on holidays. It is an offence for anyone, including children, to dress in camouflage clothing in both Barbados and Zimbabwe.
Beijing
You are forbidden to stop for pedestrians if you are driving a motor-driven vehicle (maybe this is a hidden law in Ireland?)
Bolivia
Married women in La Paz, Bolivia are only allowed one glass of wine.
Breathalyzer
In France you are expected to carry your own and if you’re caught without it there’s an on the spot fine of €11 which doesn’t seem too bad – sure how much does the breathalyser cost?
Capri, Italy
“Noisy footwear” including flip-flops are banned in Capri, Italy.
Canada
The law states that 35 per cent of all music played on radio stations must be by or involve Canadian artists. If you’re a fan of the Bieber or Celion Dion, this is great news! But for most, maybe stick to the Spotify.
Dubai, UAE
Love-struck tourists beware! Don’t jet off to Dubai on a romantic venture without first knowing that kissing in public is illegal.
Egypt
Don’t start sightseeing the minute you step off the plane in Egypt. You may be detained or arrested if you use binoculars or take photographs near an airport.
Finland
Renting a car in Finland? Beware! Traffic fines are calculated as a percentage of the offender's income and not a flat fee.
Businessman Reima Kuisla was caught going 65 miles per hour in a 50 zone in his home country and was required to pay out €54,000. Maybe just take a taxi?
Florida
If you’re a single woman planning to skydive in Florida, don’t do it on a Sunday. The only women who are allowed to skydive on that day are married women. All others are banned, including divorced, single, and even widowed women!
FIJI
Sunbathing topless is prohibited. Prancing around with your pants down is illegal too but that is probably more of a universal thing.
Germany
Rethink that late-night pillow fight. A pillow is considered a “passive” weapon according to German law. Be sure not to strike someone too hard or it may lead to you being charged with assault.
And back to cars again, I’m not sure if you were planning to run out of fuel on the Autobahn, but it’s illegal.
Hartford, Connecticut
You must never teach their dogs new tricks. The law states that people are forbidden from trying to “teach or endeavour to try to educate a dog.”
Hawaii
Rest your eyes from adverts. In Hawaii, all billboards are outlawed.
Hungary
If you’re taking some tourist snaps in Hungary, be careful. The law requires photographers to ask permission from all passer-bys caught in the flash!
Italy
If you’re taking in the sights of Ferrara, Italy, don’t fall asleep in a cheese factory. It’s illegal for workers, and I don’t fancy my chances as a tourist.
Japan
Extra tissues are advised. Certain nasal sprays which we buy over the counter are banned in Japan.
Kenya
Don’t wander too far from an ATM or bank of some sort in Kenya. Apparently it’s against the law to walk around with no money!
London
Although it is 2016, London is always on guard against infection. It is illegal to flag down a taxi if you knowingly have the plague.
If you see Mute Swan on the menu in a restaurant, avoid! It’s a trap, as it’s illegal to eat this endangered bird, unless you’re the Queen.
Sticking with the Queen, if you happen to stumble upon a beached whale or sturgeon on your beach adventures, hands off! They automatically belong to the reigning monarch.
Finally, if you’re on a tour of the Houses of Parliament, remember that it is in fact illegal to die there.
Maldives
Public observance of religions other than Islam is prohibited for non-Maldivians and visitors. Honeymoon – death in family and blessing myself – laugh – so I did it more.
Milan, Italy
A law we can all get behind; in Milan it is a legal requirement to smile at all times, except during funerals or hospital visits!
New Jersey, America
It is an offence in New Jersey to slurp soup in a public restaurant “to the annoyance of the other customers”. Slurpers, you’ve been warned.
Nigeria
It is illegal to take mineral water into the country.
Obese
Its illegal for people to people to be obese in Japan and a maximum waistbandis set at 80cm for men aged 40 and over. After they you’re put on an assisted diet. How to the sumo wrestlers get around that one?!
Orlando, Florida
Thinking of getting your hair done while vacationing in Orlando? Keep alert. Women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon owner.
And if you’re feeling a little creative with your transport, remember, state law says if an elephant, goat or alligator is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle. No freebies.
Portugal
It’s illegal to urinate in the ocean (pee in the sea) in Portugal.
Q…ues ce c’est? France
Not only are budgie smugglers encouraged – in many swimming pools in France they are must haves! I kid you not, Speedos (and other brands apply) are deemed to be more hygenic than lose fitting shorts and if you don’t comply, you don’t get in!
Qatar
You are expected to dress modestly in all public areas, even on the hottest of days. No shoulders or knees on display folks.
Rome, Italy
Groups of three people or more are not allowed to sing, drink, dance, or eat in the streets of the city or else stand to pay a fine of €500!
And think twice about bringing the small pets. In 2005 in Rome, goldfish bowls were banned after the keeping of goldfish as pets was declared a cruel practice.
R…ude behaviour banned in Barca.
Spitting is an unfavourable activity in many cuntries but it in a fine-able offence to spit in Barcelona. Also you can befined for wearing a bikini or swimsuit anywhere in Barcelona except on the beach. Who would do that though anyway?
Samoa
Its illegal to forget your wifes birthday. Brilliant. Should be a worldwide offence.
Scandinavia
It is illegal to drive without minimum of dimmed lights on at all times. The bulb companies would love that.
Singapore
Durians, nicknamed the word’s smelliest fruit, are banned on public transport in Singapore along with similarly dangerous things like smoking and flammable goods.
Spain
It is a criminal offence to drive wearing flip flops
Switzerland
No late night drinks, because in Switzerland flushing the toilet after 10pm is illegal
Thailand
FYI if you are caught accidentally standing on the local currency, baht, you could be in big trouble. A picture of the King of Thailand, who has ruled for over 70 years, is on the notes. Therefore standing on the currency is a criminal act as you are standing on his face.
Undies:
Talking Thailand - it is illegal to leave your house if you are not wearing underwear in Thailand. Yep.
UAE
PDA’s are to be avoided in the United Arab Emirates where tourists have been jailed for kissing in public.
Venice
Feeding pigeons is against the law in Venice.
Victoria, Australia
Don’t be surprised to find that your hotel room might be in the dark. Only a qualified electrician is allowed to change a lightbulb here!
Wales
It is illegal to import potatoes into Wales or England if they have reasonable cause to believe that they are Polish!
WTF
No cursing allowed on Virginia Beach in the US. The local government made it an offence to swear on the beach in a bid to increase the image of the beach as a family friendly destination.
X-rated heels
Historic sites in Greece such as Acroplois have banned the wearing of high heels to avoid damage to their ancient monuments.
Y
Why indeed?! Its illegal in Eureka, Nevada for men with moustaches to kiss women. Hmmm?

This one is pretty subjective, but it is illegal in to ride an ugly horse.
