Ingredients

Servings: 4-6

  • 1kg beef roast (ribeye, sirloin, or topside)
  • 2 tbsp Spice Mix Seasoning (shop bought or make your own with a blend of Chinese Five Spice, Sea Salt, Nori Seaweed, Chilli, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 rice vinegar

Method

Prepare the Beef

  1. Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.
  2. Pat the beef dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, and all spices.
  4. Rub the spice mix all over the beef, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Preheat the Air Fryer
  6. Set the air fryer to ROAST function at 180°C and let it preheat for 3 minutes.

Roast the Beef

  1. Place the beef in the air fryer basket or tray.
  2. Roast at 180°C for 35-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Ensure the beef is cooked to your preference using a meat thermometer:

  • Rare: 50°C → 30-35 min
  • Medium-rare: 57°C → 35-40 min
  • Medium: 63°C → 40-45 min
  • Well-done: 71°C → 45 min or more

Rest & Serve

  1. Remove the beef from the air fryer and cover with foil.
  2. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
  3. Slice against the grain and serve with your favourite roast potatoes and veggies.
