Ingredients
For the Banana Bread:
- Banana 250g
- Sugar 300g
- Salt 2g
- 3 eggs
- Baking soda 13g
- Milk 190g
- Flour 300g
- Vegetable oil 150g
For the Salted Caramel Sauce:
- 250ml cream
- 170 caster sugar
- 80g glucose
- 400g butter
- 250g dark brown sugar
- 5g salt
Method
Banana Bread:
- Preheat Oven to 170 degrees.
- Crush together banana and sugar and mix well.
- Add in salt, flour and baking soda.
- Add milk and eggs.
- Add the oil at the end.
- Pour mix into greased tin and bake for 45 mins, or until the knife comes clean.
Salted Caramel Sauce:
- Heat up a saucepan. Turn heat to medium heat.
- Slowly add sugar and salt bit by bit to melt.
- Once all sugar is melted, add warm cream, and whisk.
- Add cold, cubed butter and whisk to bring to a smooth sauce.
- Pass through a sieve in case some large pieces of sugar are at the bottom of the pan.
