Ingredients
Makes about 20 biscuits
Applesauce
- 4 medium cooking apples peeled and cored
- 2 tablespoons
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar

- 100g butter at room temperature
- 200g Brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 250 Flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
- ¼ Bread soda
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 200g Applesauce
Method
Applesauce
- In a medium pot add the apples, water and lemon juice, cover and cook low until apples are soft.
- Add the sugar and mash with a fork into a puree, continue cooking on a low eat until you have a thick puree, allow to cool and refrigerate.
Biscuits
- Preheat the oven to 200.
- Mix the in a large bowl.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar and egg, stir in the flour, baking powder, bread soda, cinnamon , salt and apple sauce until just combined.
- Spoon golf ball sizes of the dough onto lined baking trays, bake for 10 minutes until slightly golden.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- Dust with icing sugar before serving.
