Rosemary Steak with Green Beans and Mushrooms from Operation Transformation.



  • 2 sirloin steaks, 125g each
  • 200g green beans
  • 200g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 4 sprigs rosemary
  • 3 tsp butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 120ml chicken stock
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 200g baby potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to season


  1. Season steaks with a little salt and pepper
  2. Steam potatoes until cooked (15-20 minutes)
  3. Add oil to a pan on high heat
  4. When oil is hot, add steaks & 2 sprigs of rosemary to pan  
  5. Cook as desired, turning steaks every minute (6 mins = rare, 8 mins = medium, 10 mins = well done)
  6. Transfer steaks to a warm plate and allow to rest
  7. To the same pan add butter over a medium heat
  8. When butter is melted add onions and cook until soft
  9. Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes
  10. Add garlic and cook until mushrooms are browned
  11. Add green beans and chicken stock and simmer until beans are cooked through but still slightly crisp (2-3 mins) 
  12. Serve steak with vegetables and potatoes, garnish with rosemary sprigs
