Molly Makes Granny's Lemon Drizzle Cake!
Ingredients
- 170 g self-raising flour
- 170 g sugar
- 170g butter
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons milk
- Zest & juice from 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of icing sugar
Method
- Beat the butter and the sugar until creamy
- Add the zest and milk, and beat again
- Add in half the flour and one egg. Beat
- Add in remaining flour and egg. Beat
- Put baking paper in the cake tin and pour the mixture in.
- Put it in the oven at 180 degrees for an hour.
- For the syrup mix the juice of one lemon and 2 tablespoons of icing sugar
- Make small holes in the cake and pour the syrup on top.
- Serve.
