Balance is a fundamental base for all aspects of training. Good balance is essential for all types of activities like running, hopping as well as everyday tasks such as reaching up or bending down.
Focusing on balance training has shown to reduce falls and help prevent other injuries related in the lower body.
In our first balance circuit, Sarah takes us through some simple exercises that are designed to train both single leg and balance while moving.
These exercises can be done, with or without, using the aid of a chair or wall to maintain the balance if needed. Try each holding each exercise between 10-30 seconds and make sure to change over legs.
Try to repeat the session between 2-3 times for more benefits each day if you can - even just one circuit is fantastic and all movement counts.
