Whether we love the bones of our partners or we just about tolerate each other, every relationship is under additional strain at the moment as we spend much more time in close quarters together.

Broadcaster and journalist Dil Wickremasinghe is also a trainee psychotherapist who runs the Insight Matters counselling and psychotherapy service in Dublin with her wife, psychotherapist Anne Marie Toole.

Having been through relationship counselling herself, Dil has some great insights about how anxiety can fuel anger, how staying connected can help to reduce irritability and how communication is key. She also shares a quick, simple exercise that may help to reduce the row count in your house over the Easter break.

You can find out more about relationship counselling, online or in person, at Insight Matters.
