Watching them sashay down the runway, with fluffy wings trailing behind them and a halo of radiant, gently curled waves, it's easy to take it for granted that Victoria's Secret models are part of a chosen few who just wake up looking so beautiful.
The reality is that hours upon hours of hard work - from rigorous exercise routines to elaborate beauty treatments, not to mention plenty of time - go into perfecting that angel-on-earth glowing look that defines the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Angel Kelly Gale, who walked in her fifth fashion show last night, shared her epic workout regime with Vogue Australia. Rather than being a quick fix to get runway-ready, the 23-year-old stresses that her fitness routine "doesn't change that much leading up to the show" and that she follows the same routine throughout the year.
"I work out six days per week all year round and usually workout two hours per day, and on top of that I like power walking 15 - 30km each day."
Of course, as the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show creeps closure, Gale naturally bumps up her fitness to ensure her body is in peak angelic perfection.
"I like to go bed early the night before the casting so I get a good night's sleep. I set my alarm early so I can do a meditation when I wake, and I then do a quick 15 min ab-blast to help define my abs", she says.
"In the lead up to the show, it's more important to me to focus on the muscle groups and make sure I really target those areas as best I can, which is through exercises with ankle weights, gliders and resistance bands."
She also ups her walking to "closer to 30 km every day" and focuses on "healthy foods". "I was never introduced to bad, unhealthy foods so for me it's just natural to eat very healthy", she adds.

When it comes to her diet, she favours "lots of fish, all vegetables except potatoes" - time for another Irish Angel a la Caitríona Balfe, we think - porridge, yoghurt and berries and fruit. Her snack of choice? The very un-sinful raw vegan chocolate and nuts.
To achieve that heavenly glow, Gale uses infrared saunas to flush out any water retention or puffiness and leave the skin radiant.
It's clear that Gale's fitness is a way of life rather than a means to very glamourous ends, but it's worth remembering that looking well is her literal job and having time for exercise six days a week is a heavenly privilege in itself.
So when you're flicking through Insta stories of the fashion show, don't banish yourself to hell for not getting your weekly infrared sauna session in.
