Storm Chris may bring a change to the weather have all been enjoying but that does not mean the fun has to stop.
With the summer hols in full swing, there is plenty of time left to create a lifetime of happy memories.
Ireland in the summer is a magical place to be, with so many activities and events to keep the whole family entertained regardless of the weather - and this weekend is no different.
So grab your brolly and sun-screen and try some of these brilliant days out.
1) Foyle Maritime Festival
The Foyle Maritime Festival runs into the weekend and hosts the stopover of this year's Clipper Race as they near the end of their Round the World Journey.
Queens Quay will once again be transformed into a maritime wonderland full of fun, music, arts and crafts, seafood, water activities and the Voyages Parade of Light Spectacular, a beautiful riverfront showcase event with a parade of light on the water, on Friday 20th, from 9pm to 11pm.
2) Swords Summer Festival
The fourth Swords Summer Festival returns this weekend with a fun programme of events and activities including music, puppet and magic shows, craft and food fair in Swords Town Park, live music in the Castle Marquee with the Hot House Flowers performing in Swords Castle on Saturday night.

3) Galway International Arts Festival
Galway International Arts Festival has another programme featuring events across all art forms featuring theatre, music, visual arts, opera, street spectacle, dance, discussion and comedy until July 29th.
This weekend's events include a trip down memory lane with Something Happens, the incredible Flight, based on the novel by Caroline Brothers, and the Museum of the Moon will be on display all week.
4) Festival of Curiosity
Ireland’s annual celebration of art, science, technology, and design is back with the usual mix of Playful Days and Curious Night providing insight and entertainment for all the family.
5) Earagail Arts Festival
The north-west festival continues through the weekend with the Wild Atlantic Weekend in Malin featuring performances from Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Lords of Strut, Tumblecircus, Fanzini Productions, Lulu’s World and John D Ruddy’s Pocket History of Ireland.
6) Bundoran Street Party
The 3rd annual street party in Bundoran will take place this Saturday from 2pm-5pm with free activities including bouncy castles, a rodeo ring, mechanical bull, bungee run, face painting, performance from street magician Joel M and lots more.

7) Liberties Festival
The Liberties Festival has become a highlight of the summer in Dublin with a series of family-friendly, sporting and community events, and an exciting multicultural and arts programme encompassing visual art, film, dance, comedy, literature and music.
8) National Wax Museum Plus
A lot more than just wax statues, the museum is full of fun, interactive exhibits that will keep active children entertained - an engaging way to spend a couple of hours this summer, just avoid the Chamber of Horrors if you want to sleep that night!

9) Sligo Agricultural Show
Annual show takes place on Saturday 21st with the usual competition classes, as well as Bonny Baby and Glamorous Granny.
10) Dublin Makers
Dublin Makers takes the form of a "show and tell" experience where inventors/makers have an opportunity to showcase their creations in a carnival atmosphere in Merrion Square this Saturday.
It is a family-friendly showcase of invention where people show what they are making and share what they are learning.

11) Townlands Carnival
TownLands, in the grounds of the old Rusheen Farm estate near Macroom, Co. Cork, is a three day, unique participatory music & arts festival.
This is a family-friendly festival with a dedicated kids area and programme of entertainment including workshops, theatre, storytelling, scavenger hunts and hot water bottle filling before bedtime while the older festival goers enjoy live performances from Sister Sledge, King Kong Company and many more.
12) Fairy Festival
The third annual Fairytale Festival hosted by Beats FM takes place this Sunday from 11am to 6pm at Woodstock Gardens, Inistioge, Co Kilkenny.
Enjoy lots of fairytale-themed fun including bouncy castles, archery, singalong, storytelling, fairy trail and the chance to meet some of your favourite fairytale characters.
13) Jervis Street Shopping Centre
Every Saturday in July and August, Jervis Street has a programme of free family events in their Enchanted Summer Garden. This Saturday there is a Circus in the Garden with an opportunity to participate in Juggling and Hula Hoop Workshops.
14) Boyle Arts Festival
A wonderful programme of events and live music over eleven days in Boyle from 19th-28th July.
Events include fun workshops for children and adults, classical music as well as more contemporary genres, drama, spoken word events, literary gems, stunning art and photography exhibitions, workshops, children’s activities and much more!

15) Castlecomer Discovery Park Summer Deal

16) Wells House Victorian Garden Party
Celebrating their sixth birthday with a day of Victorian tradition this Sunday, Wells House in Wexford will have live music, a BBQ on the terrace and Victorian games for all the family, puppet shows, clowns, face painting and much more.

1) Bray Air Display & Foynes Air Show
Featuring aircraft from an F-18s to Spitfires and displays from the Irish Air Corps, the Irish Coast Guard and the former Red Arrow pilots’ Blades team. On the ground, there will be a funfair, a food and craft village and Helicopter pleasure flights.
The Foynes Air Show, on July 28th, joins forces again with the Bray Air Display bringing more aircraft, thrills and visitors than ever before to Foynes
2) Ardmore Pattern Festival
Ardmore Pattern Festival is a free fun-filled festival in West Waterford with sports events, walks, demonstrations, farmers' market, music, street entertainment, tours and fireworks.
3) Mary of Dungloe Festival
The 51st Mary from Dungloe International Festival starts on July 28th and centres on the selection of the ‘Mary from Dungloe’ which brings young women from all parts of the world to the town of Dungloe in County Donegal.
4) RTÉ's live parenting panel
RTÉ's Hourglass live-event-series continues on Thursday, July 26th in The Little Museum of Dublin with a fantastic panel of busy mums speaking on the 'struggle to juggle'.
