Tell us about what you do?
Our mission is to empower our clients to achieve optimum health and wellness. We do this through online courses and talks, workshops and one-to-one coaching.
We’re nutrition, health and wellness coaches and we’re sisters! We both have switched career from the corporate world and have recently set up The WellNow Company.
Who do you help and how?
We have a range of clients, male and female, both private and corporate. Our Empowered Pregnancy online course is aimed at pregnant women and walks them through information on nutrition and lifestyle factors, which will benefit their health and wellness during pregnancy and allows them to form their very own Master Plan.
We also do talks and workshops in corporate settings encouraging people to live healthy and balanced lives through nutrition and lifestyle knowledge – helping both the employee and employer!
As two working mums, tell us about your take on the Hourglass topic for this live event - the Struggle to Juggle?
Suzanne:
With three kids, two in school one in pre-Montessori, the struggle is real! Taking a step back and accepting the ebb and flow is a huge part of dealing with the full-on daily trials and tribulations.
Being entirely regimented can cause stress, but being empowered with knowledge and tools to make better choices on a daily basis can really assist in creating a calm and balanced life for all the family.
Jessie:
Being at an earlier stage of parenthood, the struggles I face are slightly different. One of the biggest challenges facing new parents or parents of young children is the change in identity.
No longer are you the young and carefree adult who can go out socially at the drop of a hat and you can easily lose your old self in the world of nappies, bottles and nap times.
It’s so important though to keep a sense of self and one way to do that is to take time out – both individually and as a couple.
Who or what inspires each of you to be a better, healthier you?
Jessie:
My family inspires me to maintain my health so I can really enjoy the time I spend with them and can be there for them as they grow.
Suzanne:
Same, my family. Also to be a good role model for my kids as they get older and realize an active and healthy lifestyle is the key to continued health and wellbeing. Also, our clients - as it’s important to help them see that it is attainable and manageable in this crazy world to be healthy and balanced.
Jess, how do you look so fab with only weeks to go until your second baby is due? Please share!
Ah, thank you!
Prepping the Empowered Pregnancy course really drove home the importance of staying healthy at this time, being mindful about what I’m eating and how I’m looking after myself and I am really feeling great for it.
Quick one - A book recommendation for any parents heading on hols?
