Operation Transformation host Kathryn Thomas says she plans to train in the gym throughout her pregnancy.
The TV presenter was quick to point out that every woman is different and each individual should consult their doctor before committing to workingout during their pregnancy.
"Every pregnancy is different, every woman is different, but I've gotten special clearance from my doctor and from the trainer that I work with," said Kathryn.
"I'm determined, I really want to stay training right the way throughout my pregnancy and show women that you don't have to be wrapped in cotton wool"
The mum-to-be will be celebrating the holidays a little differently this year as she will have to pass on the bubbles when ringing in the new year but the fitness fanatic says that she is happy to promote a healthy pregnancy at every turn.
"For me, having a healthy pregnancy is still about keeping on track, still about keeping on top of your food, not overindulging and getting out training."
"I've reduced my training from three or four times a week to twice a week, I've reduced all my weight resistance but I'm still getting out there because it's so important to keep mobile and for me, it's really important that I promote a healthy pregnancy"
As for the rest of us, Kathryn recommends getting into good habits before, during and after Christmas.
"Don't wait until January. Don't wait until New Year's Day to sign up to a gym, to make all the changes. Why not set yourself some goals now?"
