Last week on Desperate Houses, architect and designer Róisín Murphy transformed a hoarder's home in Co. Laois. This week, the team met Bridget and Jack in their home in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary – a former B&B that’s filled to the brim with clutter.
Packed full of leftover bulky furniture, linen and crockery from its days as a guesthouse, the house has become more of a nuisance than a home. Bridget and Jack have been left to row over a small kitchen table for their well-deserved retirement.

With no room to breathe in the kitchen and a dining room next door that’s rarely used at all, Róisín decided to kill two birds with one stone and knock the wall separating them. However, a set of old heating pipes from the Aga cooker may put a halt to her dramatic plans.
