This was our first time at the event and what a special celebration it was,as over 500 people, predominantly female, gathered to honor the achievements of so many talented, hard-working, inspirational role models.

The purple carpet was rolled out on the night, Saturday October 28 in the Burlington Hotel, to mark Domestic Abuse Awareness month and proceeds from the event went to Womens Aid.

Organiser and publisher Norah Casey explained her decision to work with the charity in our podcast interview for The LifeStyle Show following the domestic abuse she suffered in her first marriage. Listen to the interview here.

Guests were surprised by the arrival of Ibrahim Halawa who arrived unannounced to pay tribute to his five sisters for their work in helping to secure his freedom - watch what happened here.

The sisters were honored with the Special recognition award on the night.
