RTÉ LifeStyle sat down with Irish-American comedian Des Bishop to get a snapshot of his life - from his favourite midnight snack and biggest comedic influences to becoming more like his father since Dancing with the Stars.

The Queens native has spent his career travelling the world, becoming fluent in multiple languages, and even trying his hand at the cha-cha.
His fascinating life has allowed him to explore numerous cultures, identities and relationships which he has cultivated into material for both his stand-up shows (My Dad Was Nearly James Bond, Fitting In, Tongues) and documentary series (In the Name of the Fada, Breaking China).
The comedian has mastered topics including, but not limited to, why Irish women are always freezing, why men shouldn't dye their hair, Ireland's relationship with alcohol and, most recently, President Trump and the illegal Irish in America.
The funnyman landed in Dublin for a day of press, after a long flight home from Australia. The following morning he flew to New York where he is currently gigging the comedy clubs of Manhattan.

We grabbed at the opportunity to sit Des down for a not so quick-fire round of questions about his favourite food, the best places to visit in Ireland, his sense of style, his thoughts on men's health and more.
Despite the fact that he had been up since 2am that morning, the Dublin man delivered.
Watch the above video for eight minutes of Des Bishop. You can catch Des at the Draíocht on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of September 2017.
