BloggerConf is the leading Irish conference for online influencers, digital natives, brands, bloggers, vloggers and content creators as founder Emma O'Farrell.

The digital savvy conference is back for its third year and is set to take place in the round room of the Mansion House on Saturday, 20th May with BBC Presenter and YouTuber Riyadh Khalaf flying in from London to MC.

RTÉ LifeStyle spoke to founder Emma O' Farrell to find out what's happening at this year's event.

Tickets
Emma told RTÉ LifeStyle that full-day tickets will include a range of goodies for attendees:

"Full days tickets include lunch, coffee break, networking drinks at 37 in the evening and, of course, some goody bags." she said.

As well as full day tickets, there are half-day tickets and student tickets available on the website.

The Lineup
The jam-packed day will include fascinating topics being discussed by a range of working bloggers and digital natives from top YouTubers such as Rob Lipsett to agencies who are working with Ireland's top influencers.

"A lot of people say the blogger bubble is going to burst but these agencies are working full time with bloggers, they know who's involved and who's got the budgets." said Emma.

As well as focusing on the day to day practicalities of blogging such as creating content and earning money from posts, the panels will focus on more serious topics.

"We also have more serious topics on how to secure your blog online and how to blog without breaking the law."

The lineup will include:

  • How to grow and maintain a successful Youtube Channel with Top Irish Fitness Youtuber Rob Lipsett
  • How I built my brand on Instagram Eimear Varian-Barry
  • Video Masterclass with Simeon Quarrie of Vivida.co.uk
  • Agencies under the influence-Are bloggers and influencers a fad? Panel with Outset Agency, Connector, Leading Social & John Carroll of the PRII.
  • Legalities for the Digital Space-Sinead Keavey, WilliamFry, Ireland’s leading law firm
  • Brand Strength-driving your brand for impact & success; Jenny Taaffe, CEO iZest Marketing
  • BLOG Security: How to Protect your Brand against Catastrophe; Blacknight Solutions
  • Know Your Worth! – How to calculate your value when working with brands; Ciamh McCrory, Insight Consultants
  • Authenticity, Working with Brands & all that entails Sue Jordan, It’s Cherry Sue & the blogger panel.

Emma told RTÉ LifeStyle that Simeon Quarrie's interactive video masterclass will "cover everything from lighting to lenses" while she predicts that the 'Agencies under the influence' panel will be a real highlight as "there will be lots of insights you don't want to miss."

Who should attend?
The event is ideal for any Snapchatters, Vloggers, Bloggers and content creators out there but it is also an amazing learning and networking opportunity for brands, agencies and PR companies.

Additionally, this is a great event-stepping-stone for anyone looking to dive into Ireland's blogging scene.

Future of BloggerConf
In 2016, Emma O'Farrell was featured in the Sunday Independent's '30 Under 30', she works with a variety of clients for presenting, video production, digital PR and social media. BLOGGERCONF has been her pet project:

"There's been a call to bring it down the country because so many people can't make it to Dublin. I would love to bring it to London and abroad too - I was only saying that recently but it hasn't happened yet."

If BLOGGERCONF continues to grow from strength to strength, Emma hopes to invite some more high profile speakers. Her dream guest?

"I would love Casey Neistat. I have reached out to him but no word back so far. We probably couldn't afford him anyway! I think he earns something like €10,000 or something like that for appearances", she laughed.

When it comes to Irish bloggers, Emma is hoping to bag author and Snapchat star, Pippa O'Connor.

"I've asked Pippa O'Connor every year but so far we haven't got her yet. Hopefully one year we will!", she said.

BLOGGERCONF takes place in Dublin's Mansion House on Saturday, 20th of May. Check out the website here.
