From Hughie Maughan to Katherine Lynch - it seems that Dancing with the Stars training is having the same effect as Strictly and the contestants are looking fab. We caught up with Hughie's dance partner Emily Barker to get her top weight loss tips.
Emily told RTÉ LifeStyle how hard Hughie had worked for the competition in both diet and fitness, insisting that even his Christmas dinner was monitored!
"I was a little bit stricter than perhaps I should have been but it was only because I had his best interest at heart. I wanted him to be the best."
Emily, who has been dancing since age seven, says that diet is a massive part of staying fit. She told RTÉ LifeStyle's Soraiya Ryan that the biggest mistake people make when working out is cutting down on the amount of food that they eat or going on a strict diet.
"The problem is with some people as well is when they start seeing themselves losing weight, they think to themselves 'I want to lose more, I want to lose more, I want to lose more' so then they stop eating and if you stop eating and you're practicing for that many hours a day, that's when you're going to start going downhill."
Emily insists that the body needs a good source of protein to repair muscles after a long day of working out.
"You're muscles aren't repairing every night because you haven't had protein. So it's so important to eat often and drink loads of water."
So remember folks, if you're trying to burn fat without burning out you need to eat healthily and drink plenty of water!
