The third Boyne Valley Food Series is taking place with over 50 local businesses involved

The event will bring together 50 businesses: the best restaurants, venues, farmers and food producers, serving up an extended summer of festival feasting, to celebrate Ireland’s culinary region. The food festival is centred around fresh and local products from experienced, local producers.

"We are delighted to present the third Boyne Valley Food Series which is all about offering unique, immersive, food experiences which highlight the best of the Boyne Valley Region and its people; some are off the beaten track, some offer ‘bucket list experiences’, others allow the visitors to put themselves in the shoes of the producer or the farmer for a day and get under the skin of real artisan food", according to Olivia Duff, chairperson of the Boyne Valley Food Series.

The Craft Beer Festival will take place in September

One of the festival highlights will be the 'Meath Food Safari' on June 11, a bus guided tour of artisan producers and their farms. A 'Taste of Boyne Valley' will take place the weekend of June 25 and 26 at Kilsaran Home and Show Gardens in Dunboyne featuring celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin with lots of gardening advice and tips. You will also find a lot of free and family events.

The new initiative this year is the 'Place on a Plate', whereby each restaurant in the series has to include at least one dish on their menu which is fully sourced from a Boyne Valley artisan producer, clearly identified with a special logo.
