When it comes to dressing for red carpet events, the Irish woman says she often tries to wear homegrown designs but in the end, it comes down to how the dress makes you feel.
"I do, I really do [try to buy Irish] but you know, it's about feeling good on the night and I think it's about putting it on your body and feeling nice, and feeling sexy, and feeling confident and that's what Don did for me - he made me feel really confident."
The Dublin woman has worn her hair in both her natural brunette and bombshell blonde. Sarah explained that she would be sticking to the lighter look for the foreseeable future due to a role.
"It's for a role. I'm doing the spin-off of Sons of Anarchy called Mayans. We're filming in Los Angeles right now and she's blonde, the woman that I play is blonde."
Highlights from the awards will air on RTÉ One at 10:45pm on Saturday, 17th of February.
