Ireland's top filming hotspots have been revealed in new research, with Dublin, Wicklow and Cork topping the list for movie makers.
Virgin Media Ireland conducted research analysing over 250 movies and TV shows filmed in Ireland using Internet Movie Database information to reveal the most popular filming locations.
Dublin is a top spot for filmmakers, with 104 films and TV shows choosing the county as their backdrop.
Normal People, RTÉ crime drama KIN, Lies We Tell, and the internationally acclaimed An Cailín Ciúin are among the popular movies and TV shows shot in and around the capital.
Wicklow, often called the Garden of Ireland, ranks second, with 40 films and TV shows shot there.
Recent movies shot in the county include the rom-com Irish Wish, starring Lindsay Lohan, and The Wonder, which was nominated for Best Film at the 2023 Irish Film and Television Awards.
Cork is in third place in the new research, with fifteen films and one TV show filmed there, including The Young Offenders and Bodkin, which became the sixth most-watched series on Netflix globally.
Galway and Donegal round out the top five counties for filming locations. Galway has appeared in 14 productions, including The Banshees of Inisherin and Leap Year.
Donegal is on the list of popular filming locations, with 13 productions, such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi with scenes shot on Malin Head.
