Bad Sisters' Eve Hewson is to star opposite Creed's Tessa Thompson in Hedda, described as "an epic and visceral reimagination" of Henrik Ibsen's 1891 play Hedda Gabler - the story of a ruthless woman who feels trapped in her marriage.

US entertainment trade publication Deadline reports that Nia DaCosta (Candyman) will direct the film from her own script.
There are no details at present on the role that Hewson will play.

the Dublin-set musical drama Flora and Son, is due for release this autumn. Written and directed by John Carney (Sing Street, Once), the acclaimed film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Orén Kinlan, and Jack Reynor.

Hewson is currently making the Netflix murder-mystery series The Perfect Couple, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, and Dakota Fanning.
