Anthony Head, who played Giles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, is set to appear in Let The Wrong One In, a new Irish comedy about a young supermarket worker who discovers that his older brother is a vampire and must choose whether to save or slay him.
The film, which was nominated for the Discovery Award at Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival earlier this year, also stars upcoming Irish actors Karl Rice and Eoin Duffy and Mary Murray, former Fair City actress Hilda Fay and Lisa Haskins.
Written and directed by the award-winning Irish filmmaker Conor McMahon (Stitches), Let The Wrong One In had its world premiere at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.
It has also screened at a number of international film festivals this year including Sitges, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, the Dublin International Film Festival and Screamfest, America's largest and longest running horror film festival, where it picked up the award for Best Visual Effects.
The film is produced by Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde for Tailored Films, who are known for The Lodgers, The Winter Lake and Stitches, and Trisha Flood and Michael Lavelle of Workshed Films who previously produced From The Dark.
Let The Wrong One In is in Irish cinemas on 20 January.
