The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival (VMDIFF) has announced that it is hosting a special screening of the eagerly awaited Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell-starring The Batman ahead of its Irish cinema release.

The special screening will take place on Monday 28 February, with tickets on sale now at diff.ie.

The Batman - with Pattinson in the title role and Farrell as his nemesis The Penguin - opens in Irish cinemas on Friday 4 March.

Directed by Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield), The Batman also stars Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson and Andy Serkis.
