Christy Moore is among several acts who have rescheduled shows at 50% capacity following the announcement of the new Government Covid-19 guidelines for live entertainment events.
Aiken Promotions said that Moore's planned full capacity concerts at Vicar Street in Dublin on December 8, 14, and 16 and January 3 and 9 will be cancelled and rescheduled for the same dates at half capacity.

Tonight’s show (December 6) will go ahead as planned at full capacity and ticket holders will be refunded for their tickets for the rest of the shows. However, Moore’s gig this Wednesday, December 8 has been cancelled.
People are then being invited to apply for tickets for the remaining gigs which will be held at 50% capacity, with tickets on sale on Tuesday, December 7 at 9.00am. Concert goers are asked to note that original tickets will not be valid for these new shows.
76-year-old folk Moore playing is playing a 10-night run at Vicar Street in support of his album Flying into Mystery.

Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum, the US band fronted by Dexter and Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall, will now play two shows at half capacity instead of their planned single performance at Dublin’s Workmans Club this Wednesday.

There has been an angry reaction to the new measures from the Irish live entertainment industry to the new curbs, with many some venues and pantomime organisers expressing doubts about whether they can afford to go ahead with stage shows and gigs this Christmas.
