Late Late to 'mark the absence' of Electric Picnic

Ryan Tubridy has said that the first Late Late Show of the new season this Friday will "mark the absence" of this year's Electric Picnic festival.

Speaking on his RTÉ Radio 1 show on Tuesday, the presenter teased that the Late Late will welcome "a certain musical guest, among other things".

"I can't give you the line-up," he continued. "What are we on? Tuesday. Not yet, but I will.

"It's looking great for Friday, our first show back, which is wonderful." 

Last week, Tubridy told listeners that he had visited Croke Park for reasons "that will become apparent" on Friday's Late Late.
