US entertainment website Deadline.com, which first reported the story, says Black Medicine is the feature debut of writer-director Colum Eastwood and tells the story of a doctor who carries out illegal operations on criminals.
When she helps a young girl, she must decide which is the most important: her oath as a doctor or staying on the right side of her employers. The cast also includes Anne with an "E" star Amybeth McNulty.
