Mick Flannery has debuted at Number 1 on the Irish charts with his new self-titled record.

The Cork-born singer-songwriter's sixth studio album is his third chart topper following 2012's Red to Blue and 2014's By The Rule.

Commenting on his new album going straight to Number 1, Flannery said: "Thank you very much to anyone who has bought my new album.

"It’s very nice that it has gone to Number 1. I appreciate it. Thank you."

Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent was a close second place, while Westlife's Greatest Hits took the third position.

Westlife have four albums in the Top 50 this week

The boy band have four albums in this week's Top 50 following their sold-out Croke Park comeback shows last weekend.

Coast to Coast re-enters at Number 14, their self-titled debut returns at Number 17, and World of Our Own is back at Number 21.

Bruce Springsteen's 19th studio album Western Stars is in fourth position, with Billie Eilish's debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? rounds out the top five.

Over on the singles chart, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello celebrate a third week at Number 1 with their collaboration Señorita.

Ed Sheeran and Khalid's collaboration Beautiful People claims second place this week.

Meanwhile, Dermot Kennedy's Outnumbered returns to its Number 3 peak, up one place from last week, with Stormzy's Vossi Bop heading to fourth place.

I Don't Care, Ed Sheeran's team-up with Justin Bieber from his new album No.6 Collaborations Project, is at Number 5.

On the Homegrown Top 20, Dermot Kennedy makes it a month at the top with Outnumbered.

Westlife’s Hello My Love rebounds two places to Number 2 on this week’s Irish homegrown chart, while their latest single Dynamite debuts at Number 4. Dublin rap act Versatile's Prefontaine is in third position.
