Miley Cyrus has shared a powerful message about consent after a video showing a fan grabbing her as she walked through a crowd in Barcelona surfaced at the weekend.
The encounter shows the 26-year-old music star being grabbed by the hair and pulled in for a kiss on the cheek by a fan while walking behind her husband, actor Liam Hemsworth.
Retweeting a news report that included footage of the incident, Cyrus wrote: "She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people.
"She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN'T be grabbed without her consent."

Cyrus later shared critical tweets which suggested she invited the incident through the way she dresses.
She used the hashtag "#stillnotaskingforit".
Last Friday, the singer released a new six-track collection titled She Is Coming.
It features guest vocals from rappers Ghostface Killah and Swae Lee, as well as drag queen RuPaul.
It is the first in a series of three EPs from Cyrus.
Follow-up releases She Is Here and She Is Everything are slated to arrive later this year.
The three releases will make up her upcoming album She Is Miley Cyrus.
