Game of Thrones star Iain Glen has been cast as Batman's alter-ego Bruce Wayne in season two of the DC Universe series Titans on Netflix.

US entertainment trade website Deadline, which first reported the story, says Glen will play an older version of Wayne in Titans.

"After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime," said the producers of the show.

"Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson [Robin], the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success."

He makes his long-awaited Game of Thrones return as Jorah Mormont on Sky Atlantic on Monday, April 15 at 2:00am and 9:00pm as the final season premieres.
