It has been reported that The X-Files star Gillian Anderson will portray the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in season four of Netflix's royal drama series The Crown.
With season three of The Crown yet to air, fans of the show face quite a wait to see The Fall's Anderson onscreen in No 10 Downing Street.
News of Anderson's casting was first reported by The Sunday Times in the UK.
A representative for Netflix declined to comment.
Season three of The Crown is set during the 1970s and will see The Durrells actor Josh O'Connor portraying Britain's Prince Charles and Call the Midwife star Emerald Fennell as the younger Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
The cast also includes Broadchurch star Olivia Colman as Britain's Queen Elizabeth II; Outlander's Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip; Mr Turner's Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother; Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and Call the Midwife's Erin Doherty as Princess Anne.
Colman can currently be seen on Irish cinema screens in The Favourite.
