Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello was the big winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Bilbao on Sunday night, winning in four categories.

The 21-year-old took home the awards for Best Artist, Best US Act, Best Song and Best Video (both for Havana).

In August, Cabello won Artist and Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards in the US.

"This has just been such an amazing year," she said in Bilbao.

"I love my fans so much. I know what it's like to be a fan. I know how special that bond is. I love you. I see you.

"I feel so lucky to even be here."

Sunday night's show saw Dua Lipa honoured with the Best Pop award and Cardi B named Best New Artist. Nicki Minaj won the awards for Best Hip-Hop and Best Look.
