Hozier took a break from his US tour to perform a spine-tingling rendition of his single Nina Cried Power alongside soul legend Mavis Staples on The Ellen Show on Tuesday.
The Wicklow native took to Twitter to say it was "a pleasure" to perform the track with the "amazing" Staples while sharing a clip from the show.

The Take Me To Church star previously said Nina Cried Power was inspired by the "spirit of protest" embodied by artists and musicians such as Nina Simone and Bob Dylan.

In September, Hozier released the EP Nina Cried Power, his first record since his eponymous debut which was released in 2014.
He is currently in the midst of a sold out tour in the United States and is set to play five sold out dates in Ireland in December - Dublin's Olympia Theatre for three nights from December 15, Belfast's Ulster Hall on December 19 and the INEC in Killarney on December 20.
Hozier is also headlining the 2FM Christmas Ball in aid of the ISPCC on December 14 in the 3Arena.
