Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown makes her big screen debut with Godzilla: King of Monsters and the first look at her in action has just landed in a new trailer.

The trailer, which was unveiled as part of Comic-Con, opens with 14-year-old Brown - who is best known for her role as Eleven on Stranger Things - fleeing a disaster site as a scientist played by Vera Farmiga warns that planet Earth is unleashing a defence against the "infection" of humanity.

This defense includes the giant lizard Godzilla, which came out of hiding after thousands of years.

The film, a sequel to 2014's Godzilla, and will also feature some of the giant lizard's enemies such as Mothra, a huge moth, Rodan, a flying reptile, and the three-headed King Ghidorah.

Brown and Farmiga are joined by The Last Samurai's Ken Watanabe, The Shape Of Water's Sally Hawkins and Game of Thrones star Charles Dance, with Michael Dougherty is on directing duties.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be released on May 31, 2019
