Game of Thrones star Iain Glenn, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont on the show, has teased the "rather brilliant" conclusion to the series saying he hopes it will impress audiences.
After seven seasons on air, Game of Thrones will come to an end after season eight, which will consist of just six episodes expected to air in 2019.
Production is currently underway, and Glenn, who is one of the show's few remaining original cast members, has read the finale script and it met his "expectation and hopes".
"I am one of the few people who has read the script and I know the ending and what happens. When I read it, I thought it was rather brilliant," Glenn told the Indian Express.
"I am a bit of a fan of the series as well, and it satiated my expectation and hopes. I felt [it was the] conclusion."
The Scottish actor added that he is aware it "cannot please everyone."

"You know with something this big like Game of Thrones, you cannot please everyone. All I can say is that we will be doing what we have done before, and the writers have written great episodes," he added.
"They have had a great strike rate up to now, and I am sure that will continue."
Glenn previously told RTÉ Entertainment that he was hoping to survive for as long as possible on the show, which is known for killing-off prominent characters regularly.

"Dan and David the showrunners are very secretive. We try and trip them up and make them give something away but they never do", he said.
"So none of us really know, we certainly don't know where it's going. But even if I'm for the chop very shortly I would feel like I did pretty good. I survived pretty long."
Liam Cunningham echoed his sentiments, telling RTÉ Entertainment that his "ambition was to make it to the last season and now I'm in the last season my ambition is to make it to the last episode."
