Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's production company Pearl Street have announced they will adopt an inclusion clause in all future contracts.

The long-time friends announced they will include inclusion riders in all future deals made by their production company, according to Deadline.

Their colleague Fanshen Cox DiGiovanni announced the news on Twitter during the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Texas.

She tweeted: ''@michaelb4jordan Thank you for always supporting broader representation in the industry. On behalf of Pearl Street Films, Matt Damon, @BenAffleck, Jennifer Todd, Drew Vinton & I will be adopting the #InclusionRider for all of our projects moving forward. ''

Fanshen's tweet was in response to a post from Black Panther's Michael B Jordan, which read: "In support of the women & men who are leading this fight, I will be adopting the Inclusion Rider…"

The announcement comes a week after Frances McDormand sparked interest and support for the term after she concluded her Oscars best actress acceptance speech by saying, "I have two words to leave with you tonight, ladies and gentlemen: inclusion rider."
