'Ta-ra love!' Tara Flynn to do voice over on TV3's Blind Date

Irish comedian and actor Tara Flynn will do the all-important voice over duties on TV3's version of classic ITV show Blind Date.

Flynn will be "our Graham" to host Al Porter when the matchmaking show, made famous by Cilla Black in the 1980s and '90s, launches on the Irish channel next Autumn.

Flynn has worked extensively as an actor and comedian in theatre, radio and TV in Ireland and the UK.

She was a founding member of singing comedy trio The Nualas and has performed as a stand-up comedian at festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

"I am so delighted about being the famous sidekick in Blind Date," Flynn said in a statement. "I have very fond memories of my Saturday nights in front of the TV watching the legendary Cilla having a lorra lorra laughs!

"Myself and Al Porter are going to have so much fun on such an iconic show."

UK station Channel 5 recently started its own version of Blind Date with comedian and old friend of Cilla Paul Grady as host
