Man of the moment Ed Sheeran has revealed he had been battling with illness ahead of his Dublin shows and went straight home to bed after Wednesday night's sold-out gig at the 3Arena.
Sheeran, who was co-hosting with Eoghan McDermott live on RTÉ 2FM on Thursday, said that he thinks he caught a cold when his European tour went to Paris.
"I've been ill for a week. It's the first time I've ever played in Dublin and gone to bed at midnight and I slept 'til one today."
"I think I got it in Paris and I think it was from cycling. I cycled a bit too far that day," Sheeran added.

Sheeran wowed the crowds at his two-night stand at Dublin's 3Arena on Wednesday and Thursday night - his first Irish shows since his two Croke Park gigs in July 2015. He said the venue is one of his favourite places to play.
"The Point is probably my favourite venue in Europe - that and Vicar Street. Whelan's I really, really like, but my first proper gig here was Vicar Street so I have an affinity with it," he added.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment just minutes before he went live with the man himself, McDermott admitted that he had been trying to avoid talking about the show for fear he would get nervous.
"I'm just trying to keep my head down and not talk to too many people, that way people can't come over to me and say 'Ah, it's such a big deal', McDermott joked.
"I think it's going to be amazing. It is amazing. I guess we are just lucky because he is so massive and has such an affinity with Ireland and he is willing to go the extra mile.
"If he is in another country he will do a whistle-stop tour of different radio stations and he might only have 10 minutes here or there. To get him in one place and sat down for an hour is great. I'm delighted," he added.
