Among the many busts and statues in Dublin's Merrion Square that commemorate eminent names in Irish history - Oscar Wilde, Michael Collins and Henry Grattan among others, one of the Square’s most notable residents and one of its few celebrated females remains conspicuously absent. That is the fashion designer Sybil Connolly.
There is no memorial, no record, no reminder of her presence either in the square or on the house in which she lived and worked for over forty years...
