Three strikers look back at how the strike affected their lives.
Former strikers Karen Gearon, Mary Manning and Cathryn O’Reilly look back at how the strike affected their lives in this daytime TV interview. Gearon says the strike taught her that she could do whatever she wanted to do and she is just about to graduate from college. Manning recently returned to Ireland from Australia, where she lived for five years. She agrees that the strike gave them all more confidence in themselves. O’Reilly didn’t go back to Dunnes. The strike altered her life completely.
